I take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG). This statement explains what personal data I process, why I do so, and what rights you have.

What data I process and why

When you contact me. If you get in touch by email or phone — for example through the links on this site — I process the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. I use this data only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to carry out any work we agree on. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and, once we work together, the performance of our agreement.

When you visit this website. This site is hosted on Squarespace. To keep it running, secure, and functioning correctly, Squarespace automatically processes limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you view. This is based on my legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.

Analytics. I use analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this site so I can improve it. Analytics that rely on cookies are only activated with your consent, which you can give or refuse through the cookie banner.

This website uses cookies. Functional cookies are necessary for the site to work and are always active. Any analytics or other non-essential cookies are only placed with your consent. Sharing your data

I do not sell your personal data. I only share it where it is necessary to run my business:

• Squarespace hosts this website and acts as my processor. Squarespace may process data outside the European Economic Area; where this happens, it relies on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

I may also share data where I am legally required to do so.

How long I keep your data

I keep your data no longer than necessary. Correspondence and enquiry details are retained for as long as needed to handle your request and, where a working relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship. Data linked to invoicing is kept for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law. Technical and analytics data is retained for shorter periods, in line with the services used.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at boelhouwerjoeri@gmail.com. I will respond within the period set by law.

If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
